Ghost Rider and Blackhawwwwk!

A couple of my favorites were some of the more off-the-wall comic book heroes of the 1950s. One was "Ghost Rider," as far as I know, the only cowboy superhero set in the 1800s. Big guy in white suit, white hat, white mask and cape on a white horse. Would come out of nowhere to scare the bejeebers out of the bad guys, beat the snot out of them. Was real good at shooting guns out of their hands!
Also liked the Blackhawks, sort a United Nations sampling of international pilots dressed like bikers in black leather jackets and service caps with that 25-mission crush like the WWII pilots used to wear. There were a couple of Americans, a Swede, a "good" German (unlike the Nazis they sometimes fought), an English RAF type, a Frenchman, and a Chinese cook who dressed like a coolie and rode as a passenger in one of the Mustang fighters that the others flew. Eventually they updated the group by replacing their ol' prop-driven Mustangs with Koren War era Sabre jets, and the group just lost some of their luster for me.
