Ever scince america went into Iraq all the media has done is blast the goverment. Now even they show these photos of ppl getting raped and stuff.
So the fuck what. These are not really ppl they are just terrorists in prison for a reason. They are not in a army of any country so the Geneva convention does not apply to them. They were not actually hurt just humiliated at most.
- The arab World is mad at this, well they think it's so bad were humiliating a few prisoners (terrorists) and while thats going on raghead out on the street are killing and mutilating American and U.N. ppl trying to rebuild Iraq.
If the media had not shown those photo's that guy (don't know his name
 ) would still be alive and not have his head cut off.

I understand what you have to say. But still. Why are we sending US troops into Iraq in the first place? For a so called "...crusade..." When you invade a country you expect to rebuild it after invasion as well as keep your pride in doing so. I understand that showing the pictures to the entire world did upset everyone. But would you rather have not known about what our soldiers and what horrible acts they are commiting in Iraq? Also not all of the people in Abu Ghraib were terrorists. Many were also just thrown into jail for being in the wrong place at the wrong time.
Learn to use spell check.
If any of my information seems wrong do correct me. Im only fourteen and need guidance.

Ok...you're only fourteen. Are you presuming to be an authority on U.S. and Iraqi politics? When you are old enough...when you have served our country...when you have a little more life experience, then you can write in this forum. Why do you have to insinuate
that the person you wrote to can't spell?

I don't know why I am insinuating such a thing. It just annoys me that if your going to take up a serious topic, then you should atleast talk in a serious manner. By talking with correctly spelled words, you make your arguement stronger. Why can't a fourteen year old join in discussions? I am sure that most of the people on these forums have not done service for the government. And may I add what service you have done?

TO think that the media is fair and cover's only in a sincere way with out putting his or her personal view in it just doesn't understand the politic's behind it. these people need contoversy it's there job to put presure on somebody to get the scoop. this is a story but not to this extent they've been waiting for some excitement to come out of iraq. after everyone just about forgot of iraq they blow this up on the first page of paper's on opening segment's of new's on special half hour program's which lead's to the qustion how will this effect the eletcion's should the defense secr. resign. who knew, what did they know, how are they gonna handleing it. and now you have NOW YOU HAVE MONTH'S OF NEW'S. paper sale's are up tv new's station rating's are up advertising pricing are up on tv radio and paper'. the true goal of these people is not inform the public sincerly but to make a fiasco of event's to get you to watch,listen,or read.

You bring up a good point about the fact that of the media showing the pictures resulting in revenge attacks on our people. It's too bad we don't enforce insightment and conspiracy laws. The arabs don't need excuses to perform degrading acts, however things like this give excuses to do more. The terrorists work on demoralizing their enemies and it appears some of our media and politicians are doing the same thing.

First of all, how can you say that all we did to the prisoners was HUMILIATE them at the most? Obviously you do not know or understand about the middle eastern culture. In their culture, humility is just as equal to murder. Middle Easterners have a sense of pride and honor and if someone knowingly humiliates them, it's as if someone has killed their family's name. I believe it was wrong that the media decided to flaunt this in the public because they obviously didn't think about the repercussions. When Arab TV started playing the images, it embarrassed the whole region and that is probably what drove those murderers to execute that innocent American. I don't belive that what either side did was right... but I do blame the media for inflaming the whole situation because I fell that if they didn't there's be one more American life.

Those Iraqi prison photos should never have been taken !!
The ones who allowed this to happen are the ones who must be court-marshalled !
It is wrong to make some of our GIs into sacrificial lambs !!
The media has no sense of ethics - most of them are probably against the war in Iraq - few are intelligent enough to figure out why we are there.
And I do not buy the silly "liberal" media crap either.
