Here is your assignment. Compare and contrast the settlement practices of the French, Spanish and British in the Americas. Why was the European population largest in the British colonies?

Because the british were more interested in populating the colonies, settle and make it their home. The spanish and french were looking for wealth, their colonies were gold mines to them, from gold to agriculture, their colonies provided them with the income needed to become more powerful, to become an empire and if necessary, to wage war against the enemies. Another thing, in such a territory like the british colonies in North America, where there were plenty of resources and land, the population was bound to grow and expand faster than in any spanish or french colony.
