Parents of son charged in beating may lose girl
Madison Hts. pair could lose daughter for delaying treatment for broken back; her brother faces charge.

MADISON HEIGHTS -- The Oakland County Prosecutor's Office on Thursday will attempt to permanently end the parental rights of a Madison Heights couple who police say neglected to seek medical help for their daughter after her older brother allegedly beat her over her relationship with a non-Muslim boy.
The 15-year-old girl, who is a Madison Heights Lamphere High junior, suffered a broken back in the beating, according to court documents. The trial to determine whether parental custody rights should be terminated is set for Thursday before Oakland Circuit Judge Joan Young.
The girl's brother, Ahmad Abdelmomen, 21, is charged with aggravated assault in the April 29 incident at their home in Madison Heights. Abdelmomen is free on bond pending a July 13 preliminary hearing before Madison Heights 43rd District Judge Robert J. Turner.
"She complained of the injury to her parents, but they didn't take her to a doctor because they condoned the punishment her brother gave her," said Robert Zivian, an assistant Oakland County prosecuting attorney assigned to the neglect case.
The following day, when the girl was still complaining of injuries, her parents called for an ambulance, according to Madison Heights Police Detective Sgt. Ron Hillman.
"She was in a lot of pain, and when she eventually went back to school, it was in a wheelchair," Hillman said. "It was too painful for her to stand for any period of time."
The girl initially told hospital workers she fell, Hillman said. After being questioned by police, she admitted that her brother had beaten her because he was upset over her relationship with a boy who was not of their religious faith, Hillman said.
"She wrote me a two-page statement about how both her brother and her parents disapproved of the situation," he said. "She wrote that's what prompted the beating in the first place."
The girl was placed in temporary foster care following the incident, Zivian said.
"Now she is recanting the original story and also claiming she fell down some stairs," Zivian said.

As long as they didn't make anyone wear panty's on their head those in the world press and the ACLU and AI won't even consider this a issue.
Freedom of Religion.
The ACLU would argue that they were merely practicing their faith.
The World Press would say that because the Muslim's believe that they have been ordered by Allah to kill all non-Muslim's and anyone else they deem unworthy of life, that we should just sit back and enjoy the show!

the Spanish people of the late 1400's when they gave Muslims in their land these choices, CONVERT, FLEE, DIE!
Perhaps the Spanish in the Reconquista had it right, we simply cannot live together and should not live together.
I would tell Muslims accept our secular ways or leave!

The Islamic religion is a religion totally incompatible with the West. When Westerners go to the Middle East we have to bend over backwards just so as not to offend their cultural sensibilities. Western women have to cover their heads etc. But when Muslims come to the West they make no attempts to accomodate Western sensibilities. I think you're right.

Their whole way of life is based on hypocracy. It was ok for them to wage a war during Rammadon to kill other muslims yet when we were in Afghanistan they gave us flak for attacking muslims during their most sacred time. We even had to plan an assault hoping to avoid the Rammadon, yet they kill each other.
If we kill them, we're racist bigots, they kill us they are fufilling the will of allah and doing all that is great and Holy. I don't feel sorry for them or their people.
They also come over here to find a better way of life and yet expect us to tend to their needs? Pathetic, this is our country, our way of life. Adapt or be gone.
I don't mean to sound like a bigot but the more I learn about them, the more I dislike them. Plain and simple.

that custom by a breakaway Mormon cult in Colorado City Arizona. Recently the Attorney Generals of Utah and Arizona charged the cult leader Warren Jeffs with rape and racketeering he is now in hiding. Arizona and Utah are now moving against this cult's financial empire.
There is a considerable difference between Islamic honor killings and other forms of Islamic savagery or intolerance and what is going on with an obscure cult in the southwest today.
