Alot of countries all over the world use some kind of physical inhuman torture. And those same countries say to the UN and the rest of the world to hell with you human rights laws. Everybody wants to focus on the US so much that the torture of thousands of people gets ignored.

Except in the BDSM/DS world they have safewords.
