They updated the MonsterQuest section; it just took them a bit. -- "I think Bigfoot is blurry, that's the problem. It's not the photographer's fault. Bigfoot is blurry, and that's extra scary to me. There's a large out of focus monster roaming the countryside. Look out, he's fuzzy, let's get out of here." -Mitch Hedberg -- Apparition

It would seem that no further shows are scheduled after the 4 hour marathon on Saturday July 12th. I know the HC scheduling can be very odd but has this excellent show been placed on hiatus? If so why? If not when is episode 5? HC claims on its site that Surviving History is one of the top 5 watched shows. Very strange. Does anyone have any info/ideas? Happy 4th July!!! -- Edited by Dr Strabismus at 07/04/2008 10:08 AM

They always show something that is popular again. It might take them a while, but they do it. -- "I think Bigfoot is blurry, that's the problem. It's not the photographer's fault. I am rather miffed that this little gem seems to have popped its clogs. Murial Dinwiddy and myself wrote a glowing review in the London press only to find that upon our return from across the pond the programme has lost its time slot. How frightful!!

The ninth and, apparently at least for this season, the final episode was pretty solid. I hope the show will continue, either on History Channel or on A&E. It deserves better support than it's had from History Channel. I'm not sure who precisely watches television at 8am Sunday morning, but if I didn't still have a vcr player connected to one of the sets, I'd never have seen it. The website, of course, is useless, but then, I'm repeating myself...

Eight o'clock in the morning? I'm never up that early over the weekend. -- "I think Bigfoot is blurry, that's the problem. It's not the photographer's fault. I'm guessing that this show died because I had it set up to auto record every showing of this show in any time slot (love Time Warner Cable DVR) and it stopped finding them halfway through the summer. I loved this show and I've told all my friends about it. Yes it might be a bit barbaric atleast in the thoughts of using these devices and examples, but thats what our history was. Hide and deny it all you want, but it's real and it's what was really going on even as little as 100 years ago or less, so its not that far back of history. Coming from a student who hated history all through high school and most of college this show is a beacon of enlightenment that gives people a taste of what really lies in all of our pasts.

It's back for another full run on History international Tuesdays starting 9/2. And, there is a marathon of at least 6 episodes back to back on The History channel 9/16

I really like this show, I had to watch it twice for it to grow on me. But boy did it!! At first I thought using the fake blood in the dummies(like in the iron maiden) was gimmicky. Now I see what it is, to show the visceral horror of these devices. I have to disagree with those who have stated that the voluteers are being subjected to mental trauma for one simple reason. Mental trauma comes about from being in a frightning, upsetting or stressful situation that you have little to no control. This is crucial, all the ppl in the devices can at any time say "get me the heck out of this thing" and they know it. All in all I hope this show doesn't get pulled. Now this show is so much more apprpriate for history channel thenIRT and still very entertaining. -Ironhide
