What really needs saving is the History Channel itself. I am watching Battles, for the first and last time. Looks like they have turned serious history into lousy comic book movie show. It has the academic value of the cartoon channel. I guess the dumbing down of America is the real objective of the morons who are incharge of the channel now. I would guess, from the new programing, that they don't even have high school diplomas. BRING BACK HISTORY AND TAKE YOUR REALITY TRASH BACK TO THE REDNECK CHANNEL.

I agree wholeheartedly! I have been a BIG fan of the History Channel for YEARS - at least 7 or 8, unfortunately when I was viewing Battles BC on Monday the 16th. I was disappointed to see that the people that were narrating the show had not done their home work. They stated that David killed all 7 of Saul's grandsons.(as well as many other lies). In fact there is documented evidence to repute this claim. He not only didn't kill them, he gave them everything that should rightfully belong to them and their servants. It pains me to stop watching your programs, but unless the HISTORY is actually history, well then you have lost at least 3 viewers and I'll spread the word. I pray that you show factual information instead of tainted opinions as history. Good TV doesn't always have to be violent or hurtful. It is so refreshing to see a nice end to a story.

The history channel is very informative but it's also misleading. I was watching the gangland episode about The hammerskins and they showed a S.H.A.R.P(skinheads against racial prejudice) rally and called them racist, this is very offensive to me and very misleading to those that don't know better. The best way to tell a skinhead is anti-racist is the Trojan helmet worn on there jackets this symbol comes from the roots of skinheads from the Trojan records label and one of the first ska(skinhead reggae) record labels started in England, it became a symbol of S.H.A.R.P's. There are black skinheads in the U.S.A but no body knows because almost everybody thinks all skinheads are racist. For more info Google Video world of skinhead.

yea one of my best friends is a sharp and every time he wheres his docs to school the damn ignorant renta cop says he cant where thos because its affiliated with a racist skinhead group. he explaines to the cop every time but he doesnt listen. people do need to learn the real story behind skinheads back in england in the 2 tone era.

SORRY FOR THE CAPS, BUT I FEEL LIKE SCREEMING WITH THESE SHOWS ON THE HISTORY CHANNEL, ITS INSULTING TO SEE AX MEN AND ICE ROAD TRUCKERS ON A HISTORY CHANNEL, AM I MISSING SOMETHING HERE? ITS SO DEPRESSING TO WATCH THE HISTORY CHANNEL , WHAT CAN WE DO TO BE HEARD.

I totally agree that the History Channel needs to change its programming and do more fact-checking. I would love to watch more documentaries but I have a feeling the only way I'll get a chance to do that is by ordering them online.

I'm so happy that I am not alone in my disappointment with the History Channel. I LOVE the History Channel, but do not understand why ax men and ice truckers is on there. Both shows seem more like discovery channel shows. Where did all the great shows and documentaries go? I miss them!!!

In 1810, on the outbreak of a revolution in that country, Miranda became the commander of the patriotic forces. He defeated the Spanish armies, and in April 1812 became dictator of Venezuela. I have been a regular viewer of the history channel for quite some time now, I have seen the ups and downs of the channel and I have always stuck with it. However, probably today was the last time I watched it. Tonight in the Last Days on Earth show, they so bluntly pushed the liberal agenda about global warming that it was obnoxious. I mean, it is not that the topic is not open for debate, but when the topic gets presented in such a one sided way, it removes 50% of the people from the debate. It was almost as if the show was made to glorify Al Gore (whose carbon foot print is larger than the sasquatch's). The fact that the planet is warming up is very much disputed by a growing number of scientists, and the fact that the warming is man made is a far stretch from being a fact.
To try to make a parallel between the global warming debate and the debate about whether nicotine is addictive, or whether the Holocaust occurred is nothing short of disingenuous, and it alienates viewers. The politicization of science for the benefit of a group of people is doing nothing but taking away from the real question to be answered: Is the planet in fact warming up, and is it man made? The answer belongs in the science arena not in Al Gore's and the like's podiums. For the history channel to become part of this political game is irresponsible at best.
So long history channel, I'll look for unbiased history elsewhere from now on.

When I was a boy I thought history was a waste of time. Why not have a class on the future, I said. I know now how wrong I was. Something as noble as a cable channel dedicated to history will not flourish. They program for the young. Hense, we see more reality shows. Cheap programming that doesn't matter. Follow along with people as they go to work. It costs nothing. And makes no difference. Television can bring history alive but alas, you must do it in your mind. Monsters that are never proven to exist, disasters that are played out to rediculous extremems and UFOs that none of us have seen. That's history now. Remember the movie Farenheight 451? They burned books. Treasure your history books. They are all we have.

The History channel is now a Disgrace. Did you guys see the new show on Freemasonry??? What a funny show lies manipulation through out the entire show. They went over Albert pike and im like watch there gonna prove that pike didn't create the KKK and that pike isn't a luciferian?? Ya right :-P

i dont get it history channel the hell fire club goes over how ben franklin was into petty devil worship. the history channel told the truth on this topic but they made it look like that franklin was just joking around. Wow---enjoyed reading this thread and I enjoy the History Channel. Not every show, not every day---I view many of the shows as historical fiction.
