Just found out the series will not continue. They say not enough interest in show. Everyone on board should send e-mail to A&E and History Channel asking to put the show back. Was Ice Road Truckers more interesting I think not but they left that on and did second season. PLEASE E-MAIL Lets get it back on also ask if DVD's will be in store Thanks

My previous reply was deleted- I would say that SANDHOGS garnered as much interest as IRT and AX MEN- I suspect that Thom Beers is behind the demise of the show.

Has it officially been cancelled or is this all still speculation? I was really hoping to continue to follow their job because my dad is working on the subway tunnel expansion. It's not very often I get to see his jobs at all, but especially while the machines are going. I think this show is an excellent idea can be very educational. However, I think the HC could have done more to incorporate the history behind this kind of work. My dad is always talking about how work use to be in the old days and how much it's changed. This topic has so much potential for historical discussion- interviews with men like my dad who have been in the business since they were teenagers, following the footsteps of their fathers would be incredibly interesting! Even talking about the technology advances in the machinery or tunnels that have made a significant impact on the rest of the world would at least help give history buffs more of a connection back to HISTORY! I really hope the producers of the show are following all of these discussions and take some of the comments into consideration. It would be unfortunate if they couldn't at least continue on with the show until the jobs are completed.

November is sweeps month, so all the nertworks try to bring out new eps of everything. I enjoy this show and emailed the history channel a couple weeks ago before the "anthony burns out" episode, about changing the time slot around. I do hope they finish out the taped eps.

That's supposed to be networks, not nertworks.

To be honest I want no more sandhogs, truckers and loggers. I want "history of" shows, not reality tv. So stop you crying over the death of a reality show. The long time viewers want the History Programming back.

While I do feel that sandhogs (like IRT and Axmen) would be better suited on Discovery or TLC, I am very sad to hear the show is being pulled. I enjoyed it alot and its unfortunate to see it go. I missed the friday ep as my pre-view guide was listing it in its regular slot. Ive been reading about some ppl losing thier jobs as a result of what was aired. I imagine that it prolly has a lot to do with the fight in the tunnel. Can anyone tell me what happened? I don't have TIVO and my PC is ancient and can't play videos. Thanks -Ironhide

I enjoy the show quite a bit. I can see why you'd be proud of them. While I don't think it quite fits History's format, hell I'll still happily watch it! I'm not gonna boycott a good show for that. Keep up the good work and be safe, man thats gotta be a hard job. -Ironhide
