Nostradamus-Prophet or Hoax?

Right now I'm watching a history channel on Nostradamus, and the big question is did he REALLY predict the future in his quatrains? I have a book containing all the quatrains of Nostradamus, and the quatrains are so vague that there is no way to tell what they're supposed to mean. Yet when something happens that LOOKS like something that was mentioned in a quatrain, it appears that Nostradamus "predicts" the future. Where are the Nostradamus experts before something like 9/11 happens with a warning there's something going to happen? This is why I question whether he predicted the future.

Nostradamus is a vague pitiful fraud that was never able to predict anything.

Why does the "History" Channel keep showing this nonsense? At least show how this fraud works to warn off the fools who believe in this stuff.

I too am sick and tired of all this Nostradamus nonsense. It's pretty sad when they have a moron like John Hogue as an "expert". The only thing that fraud is an expert at is twisting the words of a deluded would-be seer in an effort to make them seem like a prophecy so that he can sell more books. It's also pretty funny that the whole Nostradamas prophecy thing was debunked by Pen and Teller in a 30 minute episode of their Showtime series "Bulls#!t" during the first season. They didn't need charts or graphs or legions of "experts"; they only needed to appeal to the common sense of the viewers to demonstrate that Nostradamus is a hack. Also, is it just me or is the History Channel turning into the National Inquirer?

I read a couple books on Nostradamus about 20 years ago, it had the translations of the original language ( French or Latin, I don't remember ) it was so vague it needed a translation of the translation , which of course could be bent any way needed by the translator. I too come to the conclusion it was just BS .
