Are there no historians at the History Channel? Is there no one that checks this stuff? On the Newton episode of the Nostradamus Effect (one of my guilty pleasures) They kept refering to the Temple of Soloman while all the time the showed a reconstruction of the Temple of Herod. A small booboo but details count. Even more egregious, the show was talking about the Holy Roman Empire and showed a map of the Byzantine Empire.

You know i wondered the same thing. The only people they ever interview and have talking are authors or others that wouldnt know as much as actual historians or scholars. It's the same with the other shows such as Clash of The Gods. I really dont know why they do this.

Nat Geo is a bit better at fact checking. The folks at History are more about entertainment. If you know that going in your better off.
