Attention Vets...here's what the president thinks of your service

A recent homeland security bulletin states "Returning Veterans (the word Veterans is not capitalized in the bulletin) posess combat skills and experience that are attractive to right wing extremists". "DHS is concerned that right wing extremists will attempt to recruit returning Vets in order to boost their violent capabilities". I wish it was a joke but it seems that the president thinks Vets are something to fear instead of honor. Notice that there is no mention of left wing extremists. Judging by recent federal guidelines it seems that Vets who may have a Pro-Life bumper sticker or an old Ron Paul (or John McCain?) election sticker might unknowingly be inviting wiretaps and/or surveillance by the FBI.

What whitehall does not want everyone to know is that this memo was approved during the Bush administration, which followed the same exact guidelines.
and does the name Timothy McVeigh, Army veteran of Desert Storm, who killed what was it? 168 innocent people in Oklahoma City, ring a bell?
and the muderer at the Holocaust Memorial this week, Von Brunn, was an extreme right wing racist and a WWII Navy veteran.
How about the DC Sniper? U.S. Army veteran
We can go back as far as Lee Harvey Oswald, the USMC veteran who assassinated Kennedy,... or how about Charles Whitman, USMC veteran who killed all those innocent people from the tower in Austin, TX?

I completely understand sam, and he does have examples, however we can not treat all Vets like we think they are going to lose it and kill hundreds of innocents. Their are a lot of hate nuts out there but if we start to treat everyone like one then we are going to start having problems

So the guy gets a pass for killing a guard just because he is 88 yrs old? Is that the way your mind works whitehall????
How about your conservative hate list whitehall? In your book any veteran who is a Democrat is on your hate list.

He didn't "get a pass". He'll be indicted for murder and stand trial. He will be found not guilty because of insanity or he will be found guilty of some degree of murder. If he gets five years he will never get out. Case closed....right? Motivation? Who knows? Did he intend to kill a Black man? Did he intend to make a statement against Jews?

when you follow someone else's post with a pronoun the logical interpretation is you are talking to them. That is it looks llike you (unclesam) were refering to me rather than another posts. Especially since this board doesn't make it easy with at least some views, to look at previous posts that can be very misleading.

If you want to see a real hater all you have to do is read any Whitehall post, no matter who you are, if you are not a Republican, you are automatically on his hate list period.
