Possible ID for Dogman/ Beast of Bray Road?

I read an article online today about bears in the Leipzig Zoo losing their fur due to an unidentified ailment. The accompanying pictures reminded me of the creature described in the MonsterQuest episode-- large size, dog-like appearance, hand-like front appendages.

Those are spectacled bears; they don't live around here. However, it doesn't sound improbable for black bears to lose their fur. These are photos of a black bear with mange, courtesy of Dr. Atlantis.
