I need to understand something.

Why is it when I'm trying to be my most civil and respectful I keep getting a message that I'm violating the board standards. Is there a list of religious and conceptual words I should not use? I tried to answer a seacher on the Christian History board and was being edited out of existence and left totally confused. Is there any way your computer could be programed to highlight the offensive text so I don't spot edit trying to guess? Please help.

If I post something on the Christian History board that, shall we say, convicts an occasional human monitor. Do you have the right to reject it? even though it is in answer to something that has nothing to do with the monitor?

I may not have gotten an answer but I did get to answer the poster I was addressing when this question popped up. Thanks

There is a "robo-nanny" in charge of the word police. It has a set number of words which are "offensive" for the obvious reasons, and an even longer list (it seems) of words which can be taken as offensive in certain applications. Figuring those out is the tough part. Some of them are odd, as the desciptive term for the area which surrounds the Pacific Basin and contains the "ring of fire" volcanos. This is also the term used to describe the edge of a wheel where it meets the tire. That is a definate no-no, go figure. -- Happy Trails, Clint
