I love Mail CAll, dont cancel it. They did it with the Conquerors, I know most dont like it but I do and find it great enterntainment. I wont remember much from it anyways!

Don't cancel Mail Call. It is an entertaining and informative show. There is a lot of history learned in the show that might not otherwise be readily available to the average person. I met Gunney. He is a very approachable man and makes the show what it is. Don't cancel Mail Call.

I'VE BEEN WATCHING HISTORY CHANNEL FOR A LONG TIME. WHEN I FIRST SAW MAIL CALL I COULDN'T BELIEVE IT. WHAT A GREAT SHOW!! IF YOU (HISTORY CHANNEL) CANCEL MAIL CALL, I WILL NEVER AGAIN WATCH THE HISTORY CHANNEL! I JUST RETURNED FROM THE NATIONAL M.V.P.A. (MILITARY VEHICLE PRESERVATION ASSOCIATION). THE GUNNY WAS THERE SIGNING ITEMS AND TALKING WITH PEOPLE. A LITTLE BOY WHO WAS WITH HIS OLDER BROTHER WERE GETTING THERE PICTURE TAKEN. HIS OLDER BROTHER HAD THE BLOOPERS DVD BUT THIS LITTLE BOY SEEMED SAD BECAUSE HE DID NOT. THE GUNNY GAVE HIM A MEDALLION OF SOME SORTS AND MADE THIS LITTLE'S BOY DREAM COME TRUE. HE SEEMED TO ALWAYS HAVE TIME FOR THE YOUTH. WHAT A GREAT ROLE MODEL. HE DID THE SAME THING TWO YEARS AGO AT ANOTHER M.V.P.A. SHOW. MY PARENTS WERE AT THIS SHOW AND NOTICED THAT THE GUNNY WAS ON BREAK. A SMALL GIRL CAME UP AND WANTED TO SAY HI. HE PUT HIS SANDWICH DOWN AND TALKED WITH THE YOUNG GIRL. I WISH WE HAD MORE R. LEE'S IN THIS WORLD. IT WOULD BE A SHAME TO NOT HAVE THAT ROLE MODEL ASSOCIATED WITH THE HISTORY CHANNEL. PLEASE DO NOT LET THE HISTORY CHANNEL GO DOWN THE DRAIN.

Look you come up with a great show idea then find the best crew and equipment then you get Gunney to come on board. You have a hit on your hands. Then what do you do but go and let someone mess that all up and schedule the show when no one is up or home to watch it.
Now the rumor is you are cancelling the show.
Good thinking.
You are going to have a bunch of loyal viewers bail on you the day you cancel Mail Call.
If you do I am done with the history channel.
Everytime I find something to watch on TV that is both entertaining and non subversive some wiennie gets a bug up his pant leg and cancels it. Well cancel mail call you will regret that.
Here is a brainstorm move mail call to Tuesday night at 9pm and make more shows in a season instead of repeating the few you do make over and over. Something else to think about is maybe adding a co star maybe then the team of Gunney and ? would play off each other and the show would get some depth. Not that Gunney is not providing that already. But maybe some guest stars or a mailcall question writer to stir things up once in a while.
You people need to work with us here a little before you just pull the plug.

Please DON'T cancel Mail Call!!! I am a female who served in the military. My friends and I love watching Mail Call and love R. Lee Ermey!! It is amazing how much technology and equipment the United States has in the military. My friends and family didn't serve in the military and they watch it because there is a lot of information. The host also makes the show work. PLEASE DON'T CANCEL THE SHOW, WE LOVE AND WATCH IT HERE IN KANSAS AND MISSOURI!

The Gunny is easily the most interesting personality on the History Channel, and indeed one of the most interesting on any TV channel. Mail Call is highly informative and fun to watch. I love the show, and frankly I would never have thought of tuning into the History Channel for any other reason. Cancelling the show would take away the one reason why I watch the History Channel, don't make such a gross mistake.

I met Gunney when he came to Michigan for the Detroit Autorama. He is a very down to earth man and makes the show what it is. Don't cancel Mail Call.

I Can't believe that the HISTORY CHANNEL is considering that. What a travesty. I can't believe that you guys haven't made more mail call episodes, or heavy metal for that matter. And you've replaced them with what...psychic history??? No offense but I really don't give 2 cents about the history of toilet paper...interesting, perhaps once every 2 years...but please, I think most people who watch mail call will agree, less shows on where toilet paper came from where it's manufactured etc, and more with Gunny. Overall I'm seriously UNIMPRESSED with the recent poor quality of programming on the HISTORY CHANNEL. I haven't seen ONE WW2 show aired in the last month. You'd think you would do a show on the manhatten project or something, seeing as most tests were conducted in JULY (of all months...oh wait it is JULY now...) oh well, I haven't watched anything on the channel in a while and just happened onto this forum to see if there would be ANY ww2 type of shows being aired anytime in the near future. Truly a shame...I just don't want to see the history channel turn into another Discovery channel. Get rid of popular shows and that won't be far behind.
