I NEVER watch the History Channel any more. Shows like Ice Road Truckers, UFO Hunters, and Monster Quest have NOTHING to do with history. If you feel the way I do, write the History Channel and express your disgust with their current programs.

I have to agree hoodoo- PAWN STARS has to be the "Silliest" show on the channel- the person driving the bus is Ms Nancy Dubuc- yes they should be fired.

Couldn't agree more! The quality of programming the history channel is slanging to the mindless masses is little more than complete garbage! Also can somebody answer me this...Why does every history channel program have to include footage of a bunch of S.S. solodiers doing the nazi high-step? I can't watch a program about the history of the SPOON without a bunch of nazi's somehow being dragged into it. Come on history channel, give it a rest already!

This is so true about the History channel programing. I think it should now be called either the New Discovery Channel, which will probably cause them problems with the Discovery channel, or the Dooms Day Channel. It is becoming increasingly depressing to watch the channel that should be teaching us about past events, and is now teaching us how we are going to all die and cease to exist as a species any day now.
As far as the show Pawn Stars at least from time to time they actually teach us some history.
But lets see it from their stand point. They are selling a programing package that is to be entertaining so they get ratings. Forget about them showing anything that has to do with History just show anything that gets peoples attention and point out the fact that anything is History. Heck just filming the show and showing it the next day is History.
Come on History Channel show us what we pay for. We don't pay to see UFOs, the operation of a Pawn Shop, or the fact that we are all doomed 100 different ways to go the way of the dinosaur. Show us what we pay for HISTORY. Some of us are more interested in History than science/fiction, or day to day goings on of silly named businesses.
But than again what do you care it doesn't matter what you show I will pay for it even if I don't watch it. It comes with the package of shows I purchase, which I have little say over with the network I use.

As I have stated time and time again....
If you are going to air, report, write about our "History" then you better get it right and not the Sanitized (Private club) Governments version of it.
I have an Idea, lets start at the "Beginning", but in stead of "Once upon a time" you can change it to "Once upon an Invasion".
It's really okay because all of those criminals are dead and in this way we will all know who their dependents are, now,,, and what powers they still have over our "Real" history.
If you really want change that would be the place to start.

You guys have forgotten the new title for the history channel, The Histerical Channel. How many times can you guys at the History Channel profit off the misdirected ignorance of the people who believe in the end of the world theories. Y2K, Haley's Commit, come on, now your throwing in with the whole 2012 thing. Um, to tell you the truth, didn't you use the same Nostrodomus arguements with Y2K that you are using with 2012.

Valid points. And even the good shows are sloppy. Anyone notice in WWII in HD that they are using maps with post-war borders? This is the history channel, and they should get such basic things right! There is no excuse for such amateurism. Victor M. Carrera!

I can top that: I watched the WWI in HD series all week, I thought it was fantastic. Unsparingly showing us the horrors of war, showing us disemboweled bodies, corpses with no skin on them, holocaust victims, people commiting suicide, etc. Really graphic images that need to be shown....
...and then they show a naked little Japanese baby standing in a camp and they blurred out his penis!!! COME ON! War is the true obscenity, not some little boy's peen. Censorship like this really annoys me, the mentality other channels like TBS and Bravo etc share that violence is fine, but the human body must be hidden. I would think History would be beyond that. It was a laughable moment, and I would love for an exec to come here and explain the thinking behind that.
