Two historians did not mention oil factor at all in Middle East questions

These two historians did not mention the oil factor once when they mentioned events or factors affecting Middle East events. This was from Gillian's July 8, 2007 show. Mossadeq was deposed in a American/British intelligence coup in 1953 after he said he was going to nationalize British Petroleum. In a similar fashion Saddam Hussein may have been trying to unite arabs rather than subscribing to the divide and be conquered strategy that multi-national corporations and neo-colonial industrialists are pursuing with the CIA/MI6 machinations. It is hard to get the truth out of US "historians". They seem to be capitulating to current economic interests or power blocs rather than speaking truthfully or honestly about history.

I thought the lack of focus on oil was quizzical, as well.

I also thought the focus on Eisenhower over the British interests in the Iran coup was biased as well. Ike got played by British intelligence, which was not an isolated incident in Anglo-American relations.

They also failed to mention the significance of Churchill, as the Lord of the Admiralty, converting the British fleet from coal to oil prior to divy-ing up the Ottoman spoils post WWI.
