and made a post on the History of Islam board. I post it here and urge you to go to the Islam board and post comments. How many women have to die at the hands of that hateful religion which teaches that women are slaves, and can be treated worse than one would treat their donkey? I know it isn't PC to say bad things about soemone's religion, but hey, if a religion is the root cause of such suffering, then I say to hell with PC, speak out. Thanks. http://worldblog.msnbc.msn.com/archive/2009/10/29/2112069.aspx -- Things are real only after one has learned to agree on their realness. (Don Juan Matus)

This is a story that needs to be told. Some would say that forced child marriage is nowhere in the Quran, but the Quran is not the only Islam holy book. The Hadith is the other source for Muslims, and it IS there, along with jihad, slavery, child mol estation, r ape, and a host of other immoral practices. -- I will defend to the death your right to offend me.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ooamo54ww9o Have you forgotten your Christian History and experience? In college and later in life I have befriended several Islamic families. Never was there any hint of abuse, disrespect, or misogyny, but I have seen much of those behaviors in the Christian world. There is a massive propaganda campaign going on in this country today to ramp up hatred and fear. This is all part of a campaign to keep us divided and the military/police industrial complex well funded. -- Inspirations: Eric Hoffer, Buckminster Fuller, Robert Pirsig, Leonardo da Vinci, Jesus, Francis Bacon, Max Ehrmann, Michael Harrington, J. Oh yes. And I suppose the women who blow themselves and others up in those countries were sent by G.W. Bush just to keep a war going on !

I have an old friend whose son is a Army Ranger special ops guy. This guy has been in and out of both Iraq and Afghanistan many times, always short stays. His dad tells me his only job is to kill high value targets. He goes in, kills his targets, leaves. This dad was expressing concern for my son going to Iraq as a bridge builder. This guy said there is a lot of danger for those on the roads and maintaining the bridges. I expressed my concern for his son. He said he was not concerned for his son because they always go in with overwhelming size and superior arms. He said his son was never rally in danger and the other guys were always going to die. In a world of this kind of arms domination and the use of remote, from California controlled drones, dropping mega-bombs on villages in remote places in Afghanistan, do you not see why people defending their own country and values would not resort to selfless sacrifice for their cause? -- Inspirations: Eric Hoffer, Buckminster Fuller, Robert Pirsig, Leonardo da Vinci, Jesus, Francis Bacon, Max Ehrmann, Michael Harrington, J. I can find you thousands of youtube videos just the same. We have a sick attitude about killing in this country, its everywhere from TV to billboards, to print, to internet. We act as though killing is just another form of foreplay. -- Inspirations: Eric Hoffer, Buckminster Fuller, Robert Pirsig, Leonardo da Vinci, Jesus, Francis Bacon, Max Ehrmann, Michael Harrington, J. Sojo, this isn't about heroic self sacrifice, or making one religion look worse than another. This is about real little girls who are forced to marry old men, beaten and abused, and with no hope of help. They become so despondent that they kill themselves in a horribly painful way. There are other girls who spend their entire lives in servitude to a man who has no respect for them, or for their daughters. Yoiu can twist it around any way you like, deny it all day, and act like there's a conspiracy, or whatever you like. that changes nothing for those girls. -- I will defend to the death your right to offend me.
