I am looking on Google Earth at this moment: In the Atlantic ocean. West of the Canary Islands near and east of the Cruiser Tablemount. There appears to be is a large square, with what looks like engineered city blocks within the square. It looks like the structure could be up to a hundred miles square and possibly man-made; like it sank to bottom of the ocean. Would someone look at this and reply to me ; what this could be? Maybe this structure has already been investigated.

Actually, what you are describing can't possibly be Atlantis. Plato makes very clear that the City of Atlantis was laid out circularly, not squarely like the phenomena that is lying off the Canary islands. I'm continually amazed by the enormous amount of time and money people spend seaching for, and claiming to have found, Atlantis when it's evident they've never read Plato's Timaeus and Critias, the two dialogs that detail this legendary city.

Actually, according to Plato he received the information from Egypt and the priests of the city of Sais. To date, nothing has been uncovered by archaeologists in Egypt that is related to Atlantis. However, there is some controversy as to where the actual site of Sais is (which may shed light on the Atlantis mystery). Conventional archaeologists place Sais in the western part of the Nile delta. However, Dr. Immanuel Velikovisky in his book Ramses II and His Time, quoting Hebrew scripture, offers an alternative site for Sais, placing it in the eastern part of the Nile delta. To date, I'm unaware of any excavations of the site Dr. Velikovsky proposed as Sais, which may shed light on the Atlantis mystery.
