Why so many people are speaking only about iron ships? Doesn't anybody like a wooden ship moving in full sails? Or there were no wooden hero ships?

Of course there are! USS Constitution, Bohomme Richard, Niagra, and I'm sure there were some civil war era vessels that would rate as "hero"

That's is the problem... Constitution like others is a 18-19 centuries ship. I am interesting in 16-17 centuries! I have remarked that the tradition to attribute 18-19 centuries ships to 16-17 centuries took roots in people's minds. Doesn't It lead to the underestimation of 16-17 centuries ships. Were there any hero ships in 16-17 centuries?

Well yah theres plenty of great 16oo's-1700's ships, its just that people don't know about them here in the US& other places, because almost all of them are Britsh, really only the spaniards& French could compare, but there's still no famous or great ones of them just about.
