Dear History members: In February, 2010, History boards will begin the process of upgrading our community message board software. We are moving to a new community software, KickApps, that will provide greater functionality and ease of use. This transition will take place during the last part of February; the last day that the current boards will be available to you will be Feb. 28, 2010. We realize that many of you have posted great content over the years and might want to save your posts. Please take this time to go back through the boards and save what you want to keep on your own computer. These boards will no longer be accessible after February 28, 2010. If you would like to ask a question about the new boards, click here: http://boards.history.com/forum/Message-Boards-User/108 There will be more details to come as we roll out the new community software. Thank you for your continued patronage. We'll see you on the new, improved boards! Rebecca Cooper AETN Community Manager

After posting this article I started wondering if anyone would actually write in to defend DK. And incredibly, unbelievably, they have. Wow. As for my simplistic reasoning about patriotism, I will repeat it: If you are working against America, If you are trying to undermine America's moral integrity during a time of war, then you are aiding and abetting the enemy, and that makes you our enemy. There is only one normal reaction to that cartoon and those who published it. Not just one American reaction, but one human reaction. To attempt to defend those monsters in any way merely illustrates the depths of you own depravity. Do you have any idea how far gone you are?

Amazing. I'm glad you were able to include the quote from CRW in it. I just wish I had saved my response. These people are truly beneath contempt. -- A charismatic candidate with radical marxist underpinnings, offering a promise of national salvation and sweeping social change, who inspires a cult-like following of true believers to near-religious zealotry should scare the living hell out of every American.

To the HC moderator: I added a postscript to my article acknowledging the fact that you had evidently removed that offensive response, and offered to post any statement of yours concerning this affair. It is ironic that this has happened on the History Channel Boards, considering that I had just posted an article praising your new documentary on 9/11 "102 Minutes --", which airs again this evening. http://radarsite.blogspot.com/2008/09/thank-you-history-channel.html rg

The Daily Kos should require a warning label, warning entering hear kills braincells and causes enlargement of the adrenoglands making one generally violent rude and unpleasant as well as stupid. -- "Gravity explains the motions of the planets, but it cannot explain who set the planets in motion. God governs all things and knows all that is or can be done." Sir Isaac Newton "Your not like the others, you like the same things I do, waxpaper boiled football leather, dog breath. We're not hitchhiking anymore, we're riding" Ren in 'Space Madness"

I never thought I'd see the day when CR would defend that cesspool. -- A charismatic candidate with radical marxist underpinnings, offering a promise of national salvation and sweeping social change, who inspires a cult-like following of true believers to near-religious zealotry should scare the living hell out of every American.

I can't find that at Daily Kos. Where is it? Without context it is impossible to comment. After all the cartoon is posted at radarsite and is being used to further the politics of that writer (apparently regor?).

i just looked at the whole day-full of posts. kos and crew were busy.... but the little poster and quote you refer to were not on his website.... you have been tricked..... the radar guy faked you out, dude.... check it out for yourself: google the quote: "All this 9/11 worship is ghoulish and downright silly. Some Brit on b3ta.com is even making fun of our pompous charade." and all you get is conservative reactionary sites lambasting Kos for something he didn't write.... -- FOUR MORE YEARS, FOLKS!? do you approve of war and deficit spending? vote demopublicrat! otherwise investigate the other parties: http://www.lp.org http://www.gp.org

This really is too much. Talk about grasping at straws. Now the suggestion that I just made the whole thing up to further my political goals. God help us all. This would of course mean that the 5,000+ readers Radarsite had about this outrage, and the pages and pages of responses from the disgusted Hillary Democrats were all referring to an imaginary posting in Daily Kos. regor
