Why is she quitting? She promised the people of Alaskan, they voted for her and now she runs away. She seems to lack character.

You missed it?

Maybe she was just tried of going broke defending herself?

She won 15 out of 15 ethics complaints... but they were able to break her financially due to enormous lawyer costs.
Suing in order to break a person due to politics... nice tactic.

And we are talking a huge amount of money, and no end in sight to frivolous lawsuits and a host of other harassment and debasement attacks. The behavior of the Democrat Party has been identical to that of the Nazi Party's tactics against its's political enemies from 1929-1935 in regards to Sarah Palin. Bloomberg and Fritsch were also dealt with in similar ways.

Your side has also used up all the nastiest vitriol ever used in American politics... AND YOU WASTED IT ON A SECOND_STRINGER!!! :^O

That's right, there are other candidates out there, ones that the RINO McCain turned his nose up at. What are you gonna do to assassinate their charecter, just shoot them?

I can't believe what I'm reading here. To a one, you are portraying palin as a poor little victim who can't stand up to the "big bad democrats". What good are you doing for your own party acting this way?

Far be it from me to give you a tip, but making your "potential candidate" appear to be soft, without support, (the kind of dedicated support that gets people emptying their wallet!), without the knowledge, on how to counter an adversary effectively, and without the determination to "stay the course" you've lost without a ball being thrown.

Has it not occurred to you she may be leaving so she can position for a serious run for senate, or maybe even President? LIke I said, you're blowing it without knowing it.
(that is, unless Palin really does have a potential scandel ahead, in which case you are probably acting wisely to portray her as a "victim")

She's done being Governor. Don't count her out of the game all together though. She will continue in politics in some capacity.

Money, the be-all end-all of Politics today.
Thanks Johny, I could not have made that point better myself.

Some of us don't like the idea of money controlling what people are allowed to say and do, but I guess that's just us Republicans.

without the knowledge, on how to counter an adversary effectively, and without the determination to "stay the course" you've lost without a ball being thrown.

And how would you have done against thousands of reporters and lawyers and media stars constantly attacking you 24/7, eh?

(that is, unless Palin really does have a potential scandel ahead, in which case you are probably acting wisely to portray her as a "victim")

And the die is cast- they are already planning on fabricating another one. 16 is the new lucky number, or what?

I just hope they leave her kids out of it.... next time....

You mean like Obama made a promise to the people of Illinois, and even after his election to the Senate,. said he had no intention of running for POTUS in '08 because he would not have enough experience? What did he do?

He ran away. He seems to lack character.

The way some of you people worship your political parties, you make it look like your parties are your churches, the politicians are your idols, and wealth, greed, and hypocrisy are your church's dogma. You can't blame an outsider for being confused by partisan ideologues' own mantras they perpetually post.

If state funds were diverted, how is Palin in personal debt?

Politics Is A Slash And Burn Business

Jul 3, 2009 6:47 PM
From dirty tricks to the spin machines, Politics is a dirty business. It is Not for the faint of heart.

Palin's own party has jumped on her for being the cause of their defeat in '08 - partially, I suspect to protect John McCain, who has a lot more quid po quo coming than she does.

The attack by letterman Was out of bounds. As for the rest of the alleged attacks by the Laft, i cannot say because the responsibility for "dirty tricks" are Always buried so deep that it's almost impossible to find the guilty parties. I am willing to admit that the Dems probably Are responsible for some of her legal problems, but it's really hard to know which ones. It's unfair to just blame her political "enemies" for Everything.

When I do something, I never depend on the Right to have any memory. My defense of her, as well as many other instances where I have taken on my own in support of what I believe in, has been ignored, so I don't expect anyone to remember that I have posted continuously in her defense. However, I'm going to do it again.

From the beginning, Palin has been unfairly targeted - by Both parties. The cost of her clothes was criticised, with No mention of the fact that women have clothing requirements that men don't have. A man can run a whole campaign on one suit, two shirts and a pair of slacks, but if a woman shows up in Florida in the same outfit she wore in Pittsburg the Floridians are going to be very angry that They weren't worth a change of clothes.

Everything was like that: As a newcomer she had No support within the Republican party; they may have been happy to use the fact that people liked her for their own ends, but No Way was the Good Old Boy Network going to let her in.

Some of what she did Was naive. So What? She Was new. However, she got No Help.

Frankly, as a woman I was outraged by how Both partes treated her. I saw very clearly the difference between how a woman is treated when she has a Member of the Good Old Boy network behind her, and how she's treated when she's on her own, and I don't Like it.

I can understand how she could let her family be used - and then try to protect them. I can understand Why she wouldn't let go of Leterman, just as I can understand how she would be willing to put her family in the position to be insulted in the first place. She Is a person with Ambition. In a man that would be admired. She Is a Mother. Sometimes the needs of the two collided. Did Everybody have to pile on? Did the Republicans have to leave her out there all alone?

Frankly, I think Both parties have a Lot to apologise for. However, the Dems are just doing what political parties do; taking advantage and spinning. The Repbublicans had a duty to protect her, and they haven't. In fact, They've been Leaking things that I see as an attempt to destroy her so that she won't stand in the way of the Good Old Boys, and all that Quid Pro Quo that They have, and she Doesn't.

O.k., I guess that I have just pi*sed off Both sides. My work here is done.

Blame Mr. Salucci.

After all, he endorsed her for President.

They don't hate her. She's a target - she's a source o material. They love her.
