She has in effect resigned, caving into to the harassment of the left wing bomb throwers and late night comedian hacks who have been relentless in their hatred of this woman.
However, if your going to swim with sharks you better have a tuff hide. She has proved that she is not cut out for the pressure that would have come with the office of VP, let alone President.
I feel sorry for her family, I wouldn't put my loved ones thru that meat grinder for any sum.

Jasser, her staff and office were spending all their time dealing with ethics complaints raised by lefty loons instead of working, the dems in the legislature stopped working on anything but opposing her, and she is 500,000 in debt for legal fees defending herself. What good is it to be governor when this is how you have to work?

No, no, no, Mrs. R, you don't understand. She should have continued to collect a check from the Alaskan taxpayers although she had been blocked from doing her job. That is the Democratic Party way and what loyalty does she owe to the citizens of Alaska?

Another shinning moment for the Left. After savagely attacking, on a personal level her and her family, ending up with debt from defending herself from all unproven charges from the DNC and the Left, she has decided enough is enough.
I wonder if the Left is proud of themselves? Especially considering the slanderous attack they have thrown at this woman and family. Attacks like accusing her of being an unfit mother, attacking he children and husband and even accusing.suggesting the Trigg was a result of an incestuous relations between father and daughter......
Now we will hear the claims from tankey and the rest saying they never did any of those things. That is was all either made up or done by Republicans. So typical of the Left. Do something than deny doing it....

All valid points. Letterman is still attacking Palin, McCain, and yes even Bush nightly and to great applause.
Talk of greed, I understand he is paid very well to be a point man for the liberal left.
But lets be honest, any conservative who chooses to run for VP or Pres. had better be prepared....The left wing media will not allow their golden goose to be swept from it's nest.
Rush and Hannity, and Savage and other right wing commentators may nip at the heels of the left, but there bite is pretty harmless. They have been effectively defined by the mainstream media as fools.
When the President can joke about being in bed with the top news anchor in the nation and not take any flak for it, the fix is in.

Pops, you are building a mountain of straw men to go off on the left. I never did any of those things, and even called on Letterman to apologize. Instead of crafting excuses for her, and blaming her foes -- most of which were in the GOP -- try focusing on whether the Mayor of Massila was really cut out for the big leagues. She wasn't. I hope she find happiness in collecting large speaking fees. She may have a role for your party yet.

Maybe she was just tried of going broke defending herself?
She won 15 out of 15 ethics complaints... but they were able to break her financially due to enormous lawyer costs.
Suing in order to break a person due to politics... nice tactic. What's next, amateur night at the O-K Corral?
