Killer Claimed he was Harassed by subordinates
Nov 6, 2009 9:13 AM

Many military retirees have been on the various talks shows saying that that is 100% impossible? Is it? Women have claimed s*xual harassment from subordinates, so if that is possible, then why not other forms of harassment?

speaking from personal experience NOT GONNA HAPPEN. Lets look at this logically. He was/is a MAJOR, and any subordinate who chose to engage in harrassment of this officer would be subject to the UCMJ. I do believe that you can be thrown out of the military with a Dishonorable Discharge for doing so. Could it happen? Sure, it could, but the likelyhood is rather remote. Few soldiers would run the risk of UCMJ punishment for a comment that would momentarily feel good. MPA, haven't you claimed military service and yet you ask this? -- Good weed, As close to God as I'll ever get -- me Just because I'm paranoid doesn't mean I'm wrong. -- life motto Everyone is allowed to be stupid from time to time, but liberals truly abuse that priveledge--me

So are you saying that no women have filed for se xual harassment from a subordinate? Its a simple question.

Sure MPA. Plenty have. Plenty of people get thrown out too. The fact is this MAJOR had the authority to handle any insubbordinate comments. The fact is the women, have the same power. You can't use someone elses behavior as an excuse for your own. The fact that he made no complaints about bullying from subordinates to this point tells asgainst his claims now. He and his family wanted something to excuse his bahavior. I'm not buying any of it. Its a crap argument. -- Good weed, As close to God as I'll ever get -- me Just because I'm paranoid doesn't mean I'm wrong. -- life motto Everyone is allowed to be stupid from time to time, but liberals truly abuse that priveledge--me

> Sure MPA. Okay now that we have determined that superiors can be harassed by subordinates, that pretty much supports the killer's claim. It doesn't justify it, but it is credible.

Is there an ongoing effort to somehow justify the shooting of 40 Soldiers by an officer? Can't officers resign their commissions and quit?

Looking for excuses for this guy MPA? Are you saying harassment is an excuse for cold blooded mass murder? There is no excuse. There will be no mercy. -- America sucks, but I am great. - BHO (Mmmm mmmm mmmm!) > Looking for excuses for this guy MPA? > Yep. MPA is on the side of the terrorists. > Are you saying harassment is an excuse for cold > blooded mass murder? > Nah, he's just trying to convince you that a radical Islamist who committed jihad by taking out as many American soldiers as he could, is a victim. Never mind that this slug was an officer and would know that if a subordinate ever, EVER harrassed him the subordinate would be in the brig. MPA is just a clueless idiot that seems hell bent on proving it. > There is no excuse. > There will be no mercy. > It's a damn shame the terrorist didn't die. Now we have to spend the money to try him if he lives.

MPA...Your telling us , based on YOUR military experience that subordinates (plural and most likely enlisted) of a US Army Major were insubordinate by constantly (remember your statement he was BEING harassed not HAD been harassed) and no one did anything.... This is based on YOUR military experience.................

Any insubrdination in the military is punished according to the articles of UCMJ. As a major he had lot of power. Nobody from the lower ranks will mess with him unless you are stupid. Any complains regarding harrasment are immediately reported and investigated. If you were in the military you should know it.

This mass murder is a microcosm of whats happening in the global war on terrorism. It is a prediction that directly or indirectly causes itself to become true. The more you push your wars and your sentiments on these people, the more terrorists you get. What could've been a way to avoid this tragedy? Stop recruiting muslims? Ship all muslims out of America? Insult them with cartoons? Nope, you'll only create more terrorists. You leave them alone with their views. -- Nelson Mandela: "(The US) is a threat to world peace"
