What I believe is legitimate views and facts about a candidate we are considering, you believe is 'anti-Obama' material? > > The only thing I'm suggesting is that EVERYBODY look > at the canditates they are interested in, and please, > don't use the miscellaneous garbage posted here to > make your decision. > > > > > As I said, I have discussed some of Obama's > platform. > > Perhaps you missed it? > > > Perhaps I did. > > I didn't see it, and I made no accusations against > you, Merceditas. That's fine, Dear. I have talked about Obama's platform. Especially since I considered him as a person I would like to vote for. And I do also realize that even a person's platform is not what they are all about. btw...I found I totally disagree with his platform. -- "It is the nature of Islam to dominate, not to be dominated; to impose its law on all nations and to extend its power to the entire planet." -- Edited by Merceditas at 04/16/2008 6:11 PM

I have no problem with someone doing what you've said you've done. You should take notice of the fact that I do not make a habit of attacking politicians, Democratic or Republican, with no reason and/or with no evidence. You can probabaly count my negative mcomments about Bush with one hand, and there have been virtually none about McCain or Obama. Clinton, unfortunately, has been dismissed by me out of hand. Twenty years of Bush I / Clinton / Bush II is ENOUGH. It IS time for a change. So, as I have said several times here already, I don't know who I am going to vote for, but I DO know who I am NOT going to vote for. -- Edited by warrior1972 at 04/16/2008 6:21 PM

You're free to post whatever you like. Ultimately, on this thread, I was responding to your views, your comments to me, that someone should post on Obama's platform. -- "It is the nature of Islam to dominate, not to be dominated; to impose its law on all nations and to extend its power to the entire planet."

You know I respect you too. But of course we do not always agree...so what? If you are going to hang out here after the presidential race comes along, we will have more time to discuss, in detail the 2 contenders platforms and all the important things that go along with it. It will be educational, at the very least. I do not intend to let it stress me out. -- "It is the nature of Islam to dominate, not to be dominated; to impose its law on all nations and to extend its power to the entire planet."

There are those who say that any question of Obama's credibility is a "racial" attack against Obama. Not so. It is more than appropriate to question Senator Obama's answer on things regarding not only his record as an Illinois Senator, a federal Senator but to question his judgement in the friends he has chosen over the years. These questions go the the character of the man. And the character of the person seeking the highest office in the land is just as important as the record of that person. Senator Obama has been very clear that he thinks that "carry" permits for private citizens to own weapons should not be allowed. So as a lecturer on Constitutional law, he feels that we can just dispense with the Second Amendment. Why is this important? Because if elected, Senator Obama will probably be responsible for appointing two, and perhaps three, judges to the SCOTUS. Is there any doubt that he would appoint judges that view the Second Amendment as he does? Someone of the fiber of Ruth Bader Ginsburg who was the legal eagle for the ACLU and who uses "foreign" laws to determine the meaning of our Constitution. Senator Obama recently said that he would favor federal caps on the salaries of corporate CEOs, yet he is not in favor of tort reform and has never mentioned that he thinks lawyers who create tort law suits should be limited to the amount of money they can earn (i.e. the attorneys who sued the tobacco industry where the plaintiffs got a few bucks and they got so much money they could buy private jets or where laywers sue a company and the plantiffs get a coupon for the product and the lawyers got millions). So the determination of a CEOs salary and benefit package would no longer be a decision of the stockholders, but a federal mandated salary determined by who? Him? Just one step in imposing his socialist views of the free market. Senator Obama said he would raise the tax level on those American earning the most yet his plan would increase by almost 50% the amount of taxes a single person who earns $30K/year or less would pay. With the increase in taxes, Senator Obama would then require responsible Americans to pick up the health care tab for those who are not responsible and for illegal immigrants. Yet, until this past year, Senator Obama, whose salary was seven figures, contributed slightly over 3% to charity, with $22,500 of that money going to his radical church. Senator Obama favors driver's licenses for those who are not in our country legally. Senator Obama voted to give illegal immigrants Social Security benefits, being fully vested after they contributed to the program for only 16 quarters while American citizens must contribute for 40 quarters to be fully vested. (the Shamnesty Bill) Senator Obama wrote a bill that would designate millions of taxpayer dollars for universities. That would be good except it was for black universities only and the fund would be available to minorities only. Senator Obama sat for 20 years in the pews of a church headed by an anti-American, anti-Jewish, anti-white minister then said he could no more disown Rev. Wright than he could disown his own black community. If the Republican candidate had sat for 20 years in the pews of a church with a minister who held the beliefs of David Duke and then said he could no more disown Rev. Duke than he could his own white community, he would be rode out of town on rail. Senator Obama said he was just a casual friend of Tony Rezko, a crook who bilked the State of Illinois and City of Chicago out of millions, yet he asked Rezko to tour a home that he was considering purchasing with him. Are we to really believe that you ask a casual friend to tour a home you are interested in buying? And are we to believe that there was no sweetheart deal between Obama, who purchased the house for $300K less that asking price since Mrs. Rezko agreed to purchase the vacant lot next door (that was clearly part of the original property due to the continous wall that surrounds both properties) and they closed on both properties the same day? Obama claims that he did not meet Auchi, the 17th richest man in the UK who is solidly tied to the OFF scandal, at a party that was specifically given to introduce Auchi to the Chicago power players. It has now been reported that Obama not only met Auchi, but offered up a toast to the guest of honor at that party, one Mr. Auchi. The list of question friends Senator Obama seem to run with increases day by day. He calls his association with Rezko (after Rezko was known to be under federal investigation) "boneheaded". Was his friendship with William Ayers and Bernadette Dohrn also "bonehead"? How about his friendship with his mentor (who he says he never made a political decision without consulting) the Rev. Wright also "boneheaded"? Yes, there is much to question about Senator Obama and none of it has to do with the color of his skin.

Hey Merceditas, Is it true that your so called belief is involved with some rock or meteor that fell from above by some ala guy or some bullshit fable hundreds of years ago and you just haven't "Rebooted" your brain back to the 21 century? You have some Islam quote you keep posting with your responses and it doesn't make any sense what so ever. I was just wondering. RFJ1

M, >>Asked about his qualifications to be president, Kerry said, ?Because he?s African-American. Because he?s a black man, John Kerry is a typical no-nothing liberal. My buddy thinks the precise same way that we should vote for him STRICTLY because he's black and no other reason. g

Mark Alexander has issues with racism and liberalism and his opinion of Obama based on his own wording reflects that much. Can you offer a similar opinion that wasn't written by an unstable author? -- If you're going through hell, keep going.

Buffy, >>Mark Alexander has issues with racism and liberalism and his opinion of Obama based on his own wording reflects that much. Can you offer a similar opinion that wasn't written by an unstable author? I have issues with racism and liberalism and my opinion of Obama is that without question - after he's done his best to destroy Joe Wurzelbacher - the single most despicable human on the planet. So am I unstable? g Don't answer that. --gunner244 but I have to. --buffy. give me some slack. --g let me wrap this around your neck after I give you some slack you troglodyte. --historybuffy.
