If that’s the case, why the PR? Why originally saying it was 4000? Playing politics with our soldier’s lives?

A leading mistake for disaster later. Which begs the question, is this mission necessary?

Funny how it smells of that. Obama has been watching Fort Apache again.

"I have ALWAYS supported our troops."

:^O

Yeah, I remember how you cheered their accomplishments during the surge.

What a joke.

PBTime Id after the last 8 years the right are entitled to parodying the lefts attitude to the war.

"Vets need our support, of course. I support our vets. But our troops engaged in active combat need our support, which you still haven't expressed."

He was mocking you not the troops.

Who was the chap SteveDallas he had the tag "I don't want our troops to die but if that what it takes for the this war to end"

Something like that. And as others have commented the hypocrasy of these liberals suddenly becoming gun-totting hawks is ALMOST amusing as it is sad.

The support of the right here is not in doubt.

"I have ALWAYS supported our troops. "

Well have you? I mean you have always been putting across that message that the insurgency in Iraq would have wanted to Americans to hear, it is worse than under Saddam, the troops are out of control, the mission is doomed to failure, sending more troops is futile.

When you said "our troops" where you refering to the various insurgent groups in Iraq who our troops did battle with?

"Cheers for the brave Marines and other allied personnel now battling on the right side of history "

So they were one the wrong side in Iraq.

And I see that Stripey Stars also has failed to express support for our troops.

"Well, at last, we see two conservatives, Bret and Swordsman, express support for our troops in the most recent Afghanistan offensive. ""

I have been expressing it for years. It is most telling that you feel supporting our troops is some kind of new band wagon to jump.

This year: pencil ties are back, I-phone is still the hotest PDA of the season and not wanting our troops to fail in their efforts to shore up an elected national government against Islamic fundementalist insurgents is the new black.

How do you know there are only 1600 "troops on the ground"?

Are you just making that up?

Ah I appear to have stuck a nerve.

A false summary of my posts on the subject.

A highly bloody accurate summary of the message you have tried to convey in Iraq. Indeed you just repeated it here. It just happened to be the same the message that most Islamic extremists want to convey on Iraq.
