Band of Brothers will be airing on the History Channel all day on Sunday, June 1, 2008 starting at 0800.

Assult on guns by the 101 at normandy would not work

Don't know if they depicted it right, but the way it was shown would do nothing to the guns. Blowing up the end of a cannon would only reduce it's range by about 20%. To truly disable a gun of this type you need to destroy the firing pin, or azimuth and elevation controls.
