Watching sports cars on History last evening I was sad that no mention was made of the Morgan. A company that has been family owned for almost 100 years and has been developing unique sports cars during that time. Get with it guys and deal with one of the oldest, continuing sports car combines in the world! Hand made as well!

Maybe I can help Crxyem deal with his obvious "disappointment". I watched the same show he did and heard Goldberg say that the McLaren set its record in 1998. Later in the broadcast, (perhaps after Crxyem's bedtime) he went on to say that the McLaren had finally been topped and the new record for the world's fastest production car now belongs to the Koenigsegg C-C-R. It couldn't have been any more clear. What's also clear to me is that guys like Crxyem are spending more time looking for "mistakes" than kicking back and enjoying the show. Automaniac is an entertaining, well-researched program that kicks ass. Goldberg clearly enjoys what he's doing -- and I for one enjoy watching him do his thing.

I agree with GOTTA LOVE IT. I heard the same thing. Goldberg did say that the McLaren had been topped. Crxyem is simply one of those people who who will find fault in anything... even if he/she has to make it up. I think this series is fun, informative and entertaining. Goldberg has been a pro football player, a pro wrestler, and an actor. What you have you done Crxyem aside from have your facts totally wrong? I think this show is very well done. Sure there are always going to be people out there that will say "THIS CAR OR THAT CAR SHOULD HAVE BEEN IN THE SHOW" but Goldberg only has an hour to talk about the subject.

I agree with Gotta Love It. Crxyem needs to pull his fingers out of his ears and pay attention before he wastes our time with his posts. The Koenigsegg C-C-R is not exaclty a well known car. I am glad Goldberg and his team knew to include it in the program. I think the show is well done.

I just watched the "super car" episode and wondered why the Saleen S7 was included, all super cars on that show were d.o.t. e.p.a. certified in U.S. The Saleen is not, I don't think there are more than two "road cars" built, they just keep painting them a different color. We've raced against the car at the 24hrs of Daytona in '99 or '00 and it was in a faster class than us and we outqualified it, and lasted longer than it. I work for a company called Mosler Automotive, we build the quickest d.o.t. e.p.a. crash-tested U.S. legal production car in the world, the M.T.900. We single handedly broke 9 Motor Trend records, (one of which is 0-60 3.1 sec.)with a stock, LS6 chevy engine. I wish Bill would have looked for us before he made the show

General comment on the show - it was quite a disappointment. Not only is the commentator a goofball, why does he have to shout with every word? Not only that, but the steroidally overdone lout can not even fit inside the cars he was supposed to be sampling - not my idea of humor, just silly. He spoiled the show, but it was kind of a stupid show anyway. Watch a copy of Martin Brundle's Supercars to see a well done version on this theme. History Channel's Automaniac show was plain unable to discover its focus. Was it a history show, or was it a track side show with cars in action? Neither aspect was well done. And why, oh, why, is their an obnoxious music track overlaying all the cars? For heaven's sake, part of the fun of those cars is their sound, and the show was extremely weak in that regard - all in all, a poor effort made by a moron who doesn't know what the point of these cars is all about. One man's opinion, disagree all you like.

I did hear the mention of Koenigsegg C-C-R a swedish car if I remember correctly (I guess I was in the kitchen grabing a beer), but again the veron is still the record holder the c-c-r only hit 388km/h. If I'm going to be entertained I'd like the information to be accurate. and obviously this isn't a well researched show as the koenigsegg isn't the fastest supercar. or maybe I should give the benifit of doubt that the episode was recoreded before the veron broke the speed record. I am pretty sure the Saleen S7 is DOT/EPA legal and for sale. It took a few years, and some restrictions by ALMS, but they are now legal... Also, the Bugatti isn't in production yet, and VW found some serious stability issues at 248mph. So they are lowering it's top end. Oh, Saleen has the new S7TT... Twin Turbo. 750hp or so... but not in production, as of last read. I was equally curious about the omission of Mosler. The MT900 is a valid entry for their list.

If you are thinking of super cars why not the 1948 Tucker? This car was ahead of its'time plus it had a helicopter engine. It also had a middle head lamp. That was a noticeable feature. As for horsepower,It had plenty,249hp at the rear wheels. Now for the bad news;only 51 where ever made. One can get one for only $1,200,000!?If you can find one for that price.Personly I would stick with a Caddlic sixteen.
