Memorial Day Show of Respect: Prepare Now

I REC'D THIS BY EMAIL... Memorial Day Show of Respect: Prepare Now For several years Respect for Memorial Day has declined while commercialization and vacationing has increased. Part of the fault for this decline in respect for our military deceased lies with some Veterans who have, over the past five decades, refused to wear a military medal or ribbon on Memorial Day in show of Respect and Honor for the men and women who fell in battle. This Memorial Day is planned to re-inspire Respect and Honor for our Nation's Fallen. All veterans, regardless of rank, service branch or military profession is urged to lead our Nation back to showing Respect and Honor for those who made the Supreme Sacrifice in preserving our way of life. Choose any medal or ribbon listed on your DD-214, 215 or 201A to wear. Wear a medal or ribbon this Memorial Day. Remind and Encourage all who see your show of Respect to Remember and Honor. 1/4. After my time spent in the Air force from 67-70. I was very unhappy with the way things had gone on in Vietnam and was a member of Vietnam Vets Against the War while I attend College. Well it took me 20 years to get my pride back and respect for my country. I lost all those years feeling that my country didn't care about us Vets. Whui I was at Vietnam memorial traveling wall and decided I wanted my medals back. After all I served my country honorabley and would do it all over again. I got in contact with the VA and 6 months later they sent me my medals. I have worn them with pride ever since. I have made 3 trips to D.C. for the Rolling Thunder Ride 2002 / 2008/2009. I have rode my Harley twice in the parade and will do so until the day I can't. God bless America and all our vets past and present. Thank you all for your time served. LennyV
