Man did not evolve from an ape or a monkey

Man evovled from a common ancestor of both apes and man. Please don't say that man evolved from ape because the common ancestor of ape/man was not an ape nor a man.

The common ancestor of apes and man was, if i am not mistaken, a type of basal simian resembling a monkey. -- Does Champ exist? Do you even need to ask that question? "All great truths begin as blasphemies." George Bernard Shaw

Man did not evolve from an ape or a monkey. Where is the proof. If evolution exsisted in the past where is it today? Everyone agree?? -- Edited by warrioroftime at 05/05/2008 2:22 PM

I like the episode in Monster quest where they said that one time apes and man mated and had young together.Considering that it would be a very retarded and deform kid. A mutant. This brings up the question,"Do females apes or apes in general kill deformed, sick or mutanted young. "I know chimps sometime eat young especially those from the other troop of chimps or their enemies. The evolution of human Cannibalism.

The proof is everywhere, but it's a generational thing. Therefore, one need only look at bacteria and other fast replicating organisms to find proof. Evolution requires a stressor and/or isolation. There is currently neither acting upon humans in such a way as to cause evolutionary change (that we can tell/forsee). However, you can look at cancer, aids, and obesity as means of stressors. Where will that take us? Is modern medicine haulting/slowing evolution? With consciousness, does evolution cease? Human beings have been growing larger over the centuries. Is that evolution or a preference in mates? -- "A man who has nothing which he is willing to fight for... is a miserable creature who has no chance of being free, unless made and kept so by the exertions of better men than himself." -- John Stuart Mill "Is god willing to prevent evil but not able? Then he is not omnipotent. Is god able but not willing? Then he is malevolent. Is god both able and willing? Then whence cometh evil? Is god neither able nor willing? Then why call him god?" -- Epicurus

Some people don't believe in the Bible or considered that part in genesis a myth nothing more. Even though, they tend church and claim in the belief in God. Yet, it is all in the interpretation of the Bible. Some scientists believe that God is spirit so therefore we are created in God's spiritual image, not physicial. It is a religious issue, not a scientific one. Yet, the unknown atheist and biologist, Richard Dawkins who wrote God delusion. He doesn't disapprove God by no means in the book wrote another about human ancestory. It was about man evolution from ape. He compares fossils, etc and then starting to discuss Thylacine fossils. Why? i don't know why he starts doing that when talking about man's evolution. He compares the thylacine skull to a dog's, fox's and wolf's skulls. He finds them similar even though the thylacine looks like a canine. It is not, it is more related to the Kangaroo than the dingo. It's skull looks doglike very much, it has a certain part of the skull that makes it a marsurpial. why doesn't he start compare canine skulls to an extinct animal unless he is trying to show us that maybe ape skulls might look the same but man and ape might actually be a different species altogether. Read the book and make your own judgement.
