I like that show a lot. Those guys are hardcore loggers. The crews live in camps during the week and haul 100 loads per day (25 loads at 100 tons per). They are committed.

I saw it and liked it better. More professional attitudes, not punky like the Axe Men.

A thousand times better than AX MEN- because it's on a channel that doesn't pawn it off as "history", "making history" and "history made everyday"

And I bet, the Producer of AL probably doesn't make the loggers look bad just to put on a good show.

I like seeing the North Woods. I have spent some time in Shinn pond. The curve at Shin Pond makes for some good truck driving.

Awesome. I think AL & Axemen are both Great shows. They should both be on TV. Make room by getting rid of fake reality like American Idol & Bachelor.

I agree 100% with dirtbroke12, both are good shows, and these reality shows like dancing with the stars, lost, big brother, etc, S**K!!!
The new AX Men almost seems to be falling into that catagory with aqua loggers, that guy cant be yelling at his son that much for real?

I think the American Logger is a great show and depicts the real life of a logging company in todays world. I come from a trucking back ground and I haul wood products myself and have been for about 10-12 years now. The only thing I do not like is the fact that on every show we see crashing trucks. This does happen but not every day like the show is making is seem like. I know many people who have put many miles on in the woods and have never crashed a truck. Thank you

My dad went to school and grew up with these guys so, it's pretty cool to see them in their element. This show provides a look into a lifestyle that many don't know much about. Overall, a great show.

My husband and I really enjoy watching the American logger. I come from a family of truck drivers . My husband is a logger in Vermont. Runs a Cable skidder. I was raised around trucks and understand the ups and downs of the business. My grandfather ran a trucking operation fro 35 + years. I also drove (Flat bed and Box) .If I did not have my CDL-A I would be the black sheep of the family.

Its nice to see company so close to home.
Really do enjoy the show.

It's nice to see there are still those family owned business.

i like the ax men better i to am a yarder logger like to see the boys getting ther hands dirty .american logger is ok but its all about trucking . like to see the action on the riggin . i cant belive rygaard had the greenhorn climb a lift tree .then bitch about how long it took then he didnt put guyline in or top it so it would be safer for the riggen crew to work around .

Not that I don't enjoy the occasional Canadian accent, but seems that if a show is called, "American Logger", it oughtta have a bit more American's on there, a?

I prefer Ax Men.
History Channel does loggers proud!!!
