That's too bad. This is a terrible series and certainly shouldn't be on the History Channel.

Something better... I enjoy watching the History Channel. Unfortunately, there hasn't been much history on the channel as of late.
I hope to get the attention of those with the power or say to change the programming.
I used to be able to turn on the History Channel and watch whatever was on and be entertained. Now I have to deal with reality tv on the History Channel?
Axmen and Iceroad Truckers are a joke. It's just watching stupid people risk their lives for a little money and a little less fame. Besides, I've cut down many a tree and never actually put my life in danger. But then, I have a brain. These men simply prove that they are unintelligent. I was falling trees when I was a teenager and never nearly killed myself or others.

k...i grew up in (and live in) a lil logging town (port angeles). port angeles, forks, and sequim and everything in between are filled with loggers that would disagree with you. in fact most of the loggers from around here love to watch axe men. if you dont like what you watch on tv maybe you should try the old fashioned way of getting a history lesson..OPEN A BOOK

Good one. The capital letters really help get your point across. Why don't you just go watch your loggers in person? Maybe they're smarter than the ones on TV and don't have so many accidents.
I don't need a history lesson. I just want to see history when I watch the History Channel. Loving history as I do, I use the channel as a jumping off point and research topics brought up in the different shows... IN BOOKS.

I and quite a few others agree with Onodera. Show should not be on a channel that continues to have the gall to call itself HISTORY.

My husband is a logger and it rains here 88 percent of the time. if you want research topics and discuss them why dont you go to your local college and sign up for a class or join a history club instead of sitting on your ass and watching tv. tv is pretty much just reality shows on every channel love it or dont watch it.

What a defeatist attitude.
I am actually quite busy playing soccer, baseball, etc.
When I do come home to watch a little bit of TV, I would like to be able to simply turn on the History Channel and be able to avoid the "reality" TV that, as you said correctly, has so invaded TV.
Again, I don't need lessons. Nor do I have time to join a club. Don't spout your "love it or leave it" philosophy at me. Just for that, I am starting a letter writing campaign to end the travisties "Axmen" and "Iceroad Truckers". You will rue the day you wrote those words.

gh- Once again for about the 100th time- Why should I have to OPEN A BOOK and read about "History", when I have a channel that continues to have the gall to call itself HISTORY- where I can watch "History" programming from the comfort of my couch ???

That just about says it all- most of the people who "love" this show are friends and family of the cast, crew, Producer. live in the area, or are Loggers, or relatives of Loggers.
How many Loggers have stopped watching though because they are unhappy with the way they and their Profession are depicted in this scripted, edited "Reality"

people around here dont generally sit on their ass's, get fat and watch tv. if someone is going to learn something they take a class or join a club. (and im guessing your couch is pretty warn in)
for the 100th time ....if you dont like it, dont watch it but then i guess you wouldnt have a reason to bitch about it. same with going to an axe men forum why would you when you dont like the show. your wasting your time. you are just full of alot of hot air and nothing better to do.

gh- So what if it rains 88% of the time- what does that have to do with anything. And just because every channel has "Reality" crap on it- does it mean that a channel that continues to have the gall to call itself HISTORY has to sell out and lower itself to that level ?
And before you say it..... are these shows really getting the viewers and ratings the powers that be would have you believe ? Not a one of these "Hit Shows" is in the Nielsen Top 20 Cable Shows list.
AH the same old tired tune of the supporters of crap on a channel called HISTORY- "don't watch it"- Great advice- I hope there are many people that follow it- maybe then the powers that be will come to their senses and see that people don't want to watch "Reality" crap on a channel called HISTORY.
